Privacy Policy

Intellispark takes privacy seriously, and we’ve developed this policy to explain how we collect, use, and store your information on our corporate website, www.intellispark.com (the “Site”). This privacy policy is specific to the Site. Our products are covered by a separate privacy policy, the Privacy Policy for Intellispark Products.

What personal information we collect

In the course of using the Site, you may choose to provide us with certain information to join an e-mail list, request information about Intellispark or our products, order a product, submit feedback or ideas, comment on a blog post, or otherwise contact us. This information may include your name, organization, e-mail address, phone number, contact preferences, payment details, and other items.

The Site is a general audience website. Children under the age of 13 should not provide any information to us unless authorized to do so by a parent. If we learn that we have collected the personal information of a child under 13 (or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction) without parent permission, we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

How we use your personal information

We may use the information you provide to us to contact you, such as to respond to your inquiries, inform you of new products or services, or notify you of changes to this privacy policy. We will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, nor will we disclose your personal information to any third party except as necessary to fulfill a request you make of us or as may be required by law.

How to access and control your information

You may opt out of any future communication from us at any time. E-mail newsletters include instructions for how to opt out of future e-mail communications. In addition, you can contact us at privacy@intellispark.com at any time to:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change or correct any data we have about you.
  • Delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
  • Opt out of future communications.

How we use cookies and other tracking technologies

The Site, as well as e-mail messages and advertisements from us, may use “cookies” and other technologies such as pixel tags. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our Site and our products people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information. To the extent that non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this privacy policy.

Your web browser may allow you to disable cookies. If you choose to do so, please note that certain features of the Site may not function fully.

We gather some information about the use of the Site automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and language, Internet service provider (ISP), referring and exit websites and applications, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to understand and analyze trends, to administer the site, to learn about user behavior on the site, to improve our product and services, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may use this information in our marketing and advertising services.

In some of our email messages, we use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the Site. When customers click one of these URLs, they pass through a separate web server before arriving at the destination page on our website. We track this click-through data to help us determine interest in particular topics and measure the effectiveness of our customer communications. If you prefer not to be tracked in this way, you should not click text or graphic links in the email messages.

Pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a format customers can read, and they tell us whether mail has been opened. We may use this information to reduce or eliminate messages sent to customers.

How we secure your data

We take precautions to protect your information. Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar of your web browser and by looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Site.

We use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, and when your information is stored by us, we use computer systems with limited access in a secure environment. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.

However, despite our efforts as described above, an absolute guarantee cannot be made against malicious or unauthorized use, theft, or destruction of your information.

Additional questions

If you have further questions about this policy or our privacy and security practices, please contact privacy@intellispark.com. To report a potential security incident, please contact security@intellispark.com.
